Zhen AI is a brand of Hangzhou Zhen AI Technology Co., Ltd. (杭州真AI科技有限公司), the brand owner. The Zhen AI website, gateway and console are operated on the brand owner's behalf by Eigenstate Research LLC (USA) (the “Operator”), which is also the merchant of record for all payments. This Privacy Policy explains how the Operator collects and processes information when you use our gateway, console and models. We run a deliberately minimal data practice: we perform no KYC and no identity verification, and the only identifier we require from you is an email address.
Account information: the email address you register with, plus any display name or organization label you choose to set. The email address is the only identifier we require.
Usage data generated when you call the API — including request metadata, model name, token counts, latency, timestamps and the client IP address, used for billing, security and abuse prevention.
Payment information is processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. No payment card details ever reach or are stored on our servers. On our side we retain only the order number, amount, currency, status and Stripe's transaction reference. Stripe's own checkout page asks you for a billing email address for your receipt; that email is collected and held by Stripe under its privacy policy.
For our free, no-signup demos (such as the Seedance video playground), we apply fair-use and anti-abuse measures. This includes a Cloudflare Turnstile human-verification challenge and a device signal derived from coarse, non-identifying browser characteristics (for example browser type, language, screen size, timezone and a canvas rendering). This signal is stored only as a one-way hash and used solely to rate-limit abuse alongside the client IP address — it is not used to track you across sites or to build an advertising profile, and the raw characteristics are not retained.
We do not perform KYC or any form of identity verification. We do not ask for and do not hold your legal name, government ID or passport, national identification number, phone number, postal address, date of birth, or any biometric data. Nothing beyond an email address is needed to open an account.
We never receive or store full payment card numbers, CVCs or bank account details — those go directly to Stripe. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles or track you across other websites.
To operate, meter and bill the service; to route requests to upstream providers; to prevent abuse and secure the platform; and to provide support. We do not use your information for any other purpose.
Prompts and content you send are relayed to the upstream model provider you select and are subject to that provider's terms and privacy practices.
Upstream model providers: we share request content with the provider required to fulfil your call (e.g. the LLM or video model you invoke).
Stripe, our payment processor (a PCI-DSS Level 1 service provider), which receives the payment and billing details you enter on its checkout page and processes them under its own privacy policy. We share with Stripe only the order reference and amount needed to take the payment.
Cloudflare, which provides network delivery, DDoS protection and the Turnstile human-verification challenge, and therefore processes connection data such as your IP address.
We may also disclose information where required by applicable law. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Zhen AI is operated by a United States company. Inference is served by advanced GPU clusters deployed in the United States, and our service infrastructure and data storage are located outside mainland China.
By using the service you understand that your information is processed in the United States and may be accessible under the laws applicable there. Upstream model providers may process your request content in other jurisdictions in accordance with their own terms.
For users in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, transfers are made on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses or because the transfer is necessary to perform our contract with you.
Visitor IP addresses and device hashes recorded for the free demos are automatically deleted after 90 days by a daily pruning job.
Usage logs are retained for billing, security and compliance purposes and then deleted or anonymized in line with our operational needs and applicable law.
Account information is kept while your account is open. Payment and transaction records are retained by us and by Stripe for as long as tax, accounting and anti-fraud law requires.
You may access, correct, export or delete your account information at any time from the console, or by contacting us at [email protected]. When you close your account we delete your account data, except records we are legally required to keep.
Depending on where you live you may also have statutory rights — for example under the GDPR to rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority, or under the CCPA to know what we hold, to have it deleted, and to opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell any).
Access to certain models — including the overseas edition of Seedance — is limited to supported regions and to users who meet the age and eligibility requirements described in our Terms.
